Pictures of the process and final testing of the recipe, taken by LM Response to The RecipeWould you consider yourself someone who cooks often? Yes, I generally cook dinner for my family about once a week. Have you ever made a dish like this before? No, I have not. I found this recipe very original. Did you find this recipe simple to make? Yes! the instructions were extremely fast and simple. I appreciated the step which included the prep work because many recipes don't remind me to do this and I get flustered very easily when I'm cooking. Would you say my Sustainability Guidelines have been met for this recipe? Why or why not? The first one was met by me to some extent... I used local cherry tomatoes and herbs but used imported crawfish because I didn't necessarily trust the local crawfish I found. The remaining guidelines were definitely met within the recipe. What skills did you learn, if any? I learned about adding acidity to cooking. Honestly, I was worried that the lemon zest and lemon juice would be too sour and prominent in the final dish but it wasn't, and I found that it gave just enough acidic flavor. Do you think this experience will affect your cooking in the future? Yes, I will definitely cook this and other dishes like it (and other recipes on this site) in the future! Any additional comments? I added parmesan to my dish, as suggested by the recipe, and I substituted spinach for cherry tomatoes. I also used only one onion instead of two, only because my family doesn't like onions very much. If I had to add any criticism at all, it would be that I didn't know how to cut onions 'half-moon' style, and I didn't see any 'how-to' tips for that on the site. Overall, everyone in my family really liked it and I will be making it again! RecipeThank you LM for trying this recipe and responding! I appreciate you sending in some pictures and taking the time to try this as a Gen Z, and I'm glad that you enjoyed my Lazy Skillet recipe! TestingTo test my recipes, I often make them at least twice myself. However, I also like having others test them, reflect, and share feedback with me! Archives
